Our Partners

We believe that the only way to transform the way we eat is to change the structures through which funds are donated.

Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterin der Famtastisch Stiftung stehen mit einem Mitarbeiter von einer NGO, die Famtastisch fördert, im Kreis. Sie lachen.

We fund organisations, that...

...want to implement structural change.
We’re looking for people who want to tackle the root of the problem, not treat the symptoms...
...are helping transform our food systems...
...and advocate for healthier, more environmentally friendly nutrition/agriculture...
...work in Europe.
We are currently focussed on projects with an impact in Europe.

...are nonprofit organisations...
...and can prove it.

Our expectations

for our partners:

The Famtastic Foundation is the perfect partner for future-oriented, nonprofit organisations that are working to transform the way we grow and eat food in Germany and Europe.

The human factor

We believe in you and your team as individuals who can make a difference. As an expert in your field, you know best what needs to be done. Which is why, when it comes to funding, we focus on the people behind the organisation. After all, you and your team need to be healthy and happy in order to put your all into your work and achieve your vision. For this purpose, we can provide your team with a health and wellness budget, for example, or offer internal and external workshops on how to optimally increase and utilise your capacity.

Relationships built on trust

We know: There are always hierarchical disparities in the relationship between foundations and the organisations they fund. But there shouldn’t be! After all, both sides – foundations and NGOS – bring something valuable to the table: On the foundation side, this can be (financial) support, a network, or serving as a sparring partner. In return, nonprofit organisations offer not only creative power and drive, but also an incredible amount of expertise and inspiration.

We see our working relationships as true partnerships – ones that are built on trust. That is why we always start out with an initial get-to-know-you phase in order to establish trust before moving on to more long-term funding. As a young foundation, we’ve set ambitious goals for ourselves. And to achieve them, we need honest criticism and feedback from our partner organisations. We want to continually challenge ourselves to improve our strategy, and if our partners feel that something isn’t working, we want them to tell us in no uncertain terms.

Long-term support

As a foundation, we want to move away from project-based funding and towards long-term, unallocated support for our partner organisations. This requires a great deal of trust on both sides, and it takes time to get there. We admit that we have not reached our goal yet; however, we began issuing our first unallocated funding in 2024.

Networking and more

We support organisations that are working to transform how we eat from farm to table. There are overlaps between our organisations, and not just in terms of focus. The first-ever meet-up of our partner organisations in 2023 showed that the organisations also have a lot in common in terms of their day-to-day work, challenges and successes. As a result, we have implemented a monthly meeting for communicators from the different teams.

We not only try to strengthen our internal network, but are also active in the following networks:
